Derby Truck

I build and crash demolition derby vehicles as a hobby. Sometimes the vehicles sit for extended periods before we get to building and running them. Last week it was time to pull of an old 1997 Suburban and get it going. We went to fire it up and the alternator and drive belt tensioner were seized up. I shot half a can of WD40 into the alternator and around the tensioner. Left it sit overnight and went back out to it the next day and got it running and charging with all the accessories turning as the should.
