Rebuilding the fishing boat from my childhood.

Rebuilding the fishing boat from my childhood.

When I was out fishing with my kids in the boat I grew up fishing in I noticed a leak, just a small drip, I thought nothing big of it at first. I figured it was a loose rivet or a bad drain plug. It wasn't until I pulled it out of the water and I investigated did I find a sight right out of an oxidized nightmare. Every part I took off showed more and more I got stuck removing the inside sheet metal that was attached to the transom wood, this posed a problem I had to pull from both sides, just myself. It took me so long to figure out to grab the can of WD40 to lubricate the transom where the metal was tight and the corrosion was bad. And just like that it popped out allowing me to start the long repair of the boat transom.
