RENOVATING FRONT DOOR ENTRANCE DOORWAY

The front doorway of this cottage was dated & ugly in its decor when i bought it. I felt time for a new more modern updated look, not only for a welcoming feel, but curb appeal too. Took the existing wood off to the studs and unfortunately found many crawling carpenter ants. Only thing on hand i had was WD40, which i was going to lubricate the door's hinges and locks with, so decided to spray some on. well it worked! the carpenter ants scattered, rest picked up by a vaccun and so i was able to put the new wood up which i then covered with board and batten. I have found WD40 quite a surprising help in a lot of my household renovations!
