Rust Removal - Store Shelf

Rust Removal - Store Shelf

I have a slight addiction to rescuing things that other people toss aside, and I’m constantly dragging things home. My little habit has taken me to a point where my family and I now live in a former antique store and are working towards establishing our own business. Our place will be comparable to a ‘fancy thrift shop’ where we will sell ‘Salvage, Souvenirs & Stuff’. The project I’ve chosen for the WD-40 ‘Repair It, Don’t Replace It’ Challenge involves removing rust from some metal shelving (picked up from the side of the road) that I will use to help me organize some of my scrap wood collection. I had actually filmed/documented the entire process for your viewing pleasure (along with a couple side projects), but unfortunately the files are too large to upload so I will have to stick to the highlights. Thank you to the opportunistic gentleman working on rockets back in the 1950s for smuggling some ‘water displacement perfected on the 40th try’ home in your lunchboxes so we could all eventually benefit. It’s an awesome product! I will be continuing with my various projects and will hopefully be adding to the list of the 2000+ uses for WD-40 as I get my store up and running.
