WD-40 helps me get my bike road ready by cleaning and lubricating the chain. It prevents any squeaks and enables the chain to run smoothly. I haven’t bought a new bike in years - I just maintain and repair as necessary. I just turn the chain counter clockwise, spray on the WD-40 and wipe off the excess.
