Squeaky door hinges silenced

The hinges on my front door have been making a very loud creaky groan every time I open the door. A quick, simple application of WD-40 gets rid of the annoyance.

Step 1

Here I show just how loud and annoying the squeak is!

Step 2

Put down a rag to catch any drips, and keep your floor clean.

Step 3

Give each hinge a dose of lubricant, and move the door back and forth to help work it in.

Step 4

If there’s still any squeaks or creaks, apply a little more lubricant from the other side.

Step 5

That was easy. Go take a break!
